Hello. My name is Paula McNutt, and I heard about the Slay Squad from Anna Rosendale, one of my friends. She had joined the Slay Squad previously, and I’d watched her transformation on social media. She was a postpartum mom and a part-time nurse, and I watched her just transform mentally, physically, and emotionally on social media. So I reached out to her and asked what she was doing, how it was working for her, and truly got a referral from someone that I trusted. Then I started watching the actual Slay Squad social media myself, gave it some time, and learned other stories, watched the coaches, and then I reached out to Lindsay directly.

How would I describe my experience with the Slay Squad? I was probably a very difficult client to take on. I came at it from a different approach. I would describe myself as “skinny fat,” and I had under-eaten for approximately six years, eating about 1,000 calories a day. My desire when I reached out to Lindsay was to be leaner and more toned—not realizing the hard work that I was going to have to put in to achieve that. My life had revolved around a number on a scale, and Lindsay taught me that it’s not about the number on the scale or the number in my pants. It’s truly so much more than that.

So my overall experience has been amazing. Kind of like I shared, what I gained from joining the Slay Squad was that it healed my relationship with food. I was afraid to eat, and I felt guilty if I splurged on ice cream or a snack. I felt defeated, and I don’t anymore. Every day, I stepped on that scale, and if the number went up, I would reach out to Lindsay in a panic. If my pants felt tighter, mentally, I struggled. But I learned that all of those things are okay.

I will tell you, I’m up about 15 pounds from what I was prior to the Slay Squad. I’ve stayed at that weight, and my clothes still fit. I didn’t have to go out and buy a bunch of new clothes. However, I’m immensely stronger. I gained mental capacity, emotional capacity, and physical capacity—with strength, food, and overall health wellness.

I would highly recommend the program to anyone that reaches out to me for any reason—whether you’re looking to lose a few pounds, become leaner or more toned, or if you’re looking just to heal your relationship with food because you don’t have a healthy relationship with food.
