I’m Chelsey with the Slay Squad, online fitness and nutrition coaching and Phoenix AZ Personal Training. And today we are gonna be talking about why it is so important that you take action on your health and fitness goals today and why you have that urgency. Those who are successful with really anything in life, whether that’s building a personal brand, building and growing a business, advancing in their career, building relationships, getting an amazing shape, losing weight. One thing that they all have in common is they have urgency. They want to feel good like yesterday. Not tomorrow, not in 4 weeks, not next year, not after their kids get out of school, not when they have more time when life settles down, they realize that every day that passes them by where they don’t take a step towards their goals, they are not only just staying stagnant, they are moving backwards because there’s really no such thing as staying Sagnet. You’re really moving forward or you’re falling behind. Because it, especially when it comes to your diet, your nutrition, your weight, the longer you stay stuck in your way of thinking and your patterns of behavior, the harder it is to get unstuck. And I don’t mean that to sound discouraging, but instead to light a fire under your butt, to take action. I have helped over 1500 women. We’ve helped women lose 1000s and 1000s of pounds and keep it off. And one thing that I notice is that those who have been stuck for, let’s say, a year, are 10 times easier to help than the person who has been stuck for a decade or for even like 5 years, the longer you have been stuck, the harder it is to change because we as humans are creatures of habit, we’re creatures of patterns. And when it comes to our weight in particular, you can easily become comfortable in a body that you don’t feel comfortable in because you become comfortable with the type of way you make decisions, the way in which you eat, the way in which you move, the way your clothes even fit, and the longer you allow yourself to stay where you are, the harder it is to pull yourself out of it. So today, I wanted to talk about how to get yourself to move forward, take action, and have that urgency. And with the Sly Squad fitness and nutrition coaching and Phoenix AZ Personal Training, we have been able to help so many women because we help them light that fire under their butt and keep it going. One of the 1st things you need to do is recognize that you’re further away from your goals than you think you are. And again, I don’t say that to sound discouraging, but just to give you a reality check, so many people think like, oh, once I lose £20, I’ll be happy. But in reality, they actually need to lose more like 30 or 40 before they actually are a healthy body. People tend to underestimate how far their goal is and how much weight they actually need to lose. The person who says they need to lose £10 probably is more like 15 to 20 before they actually feel good. So 1st recognize that your goal is a little bit further than it needs to be, and then also recognize that the longer you allow yourself to stay stuck, the harder this is going to be. So that doesn’t give you urgency. Uh, it should because you are really accepting that for yourself. The next thing I want you to think about is your age. If you are in your 20s, 20s, you should be feeling good. This shouldn’t be a major struggle in your 20s. If it is, let’s get on top of that today. Let’s get you feeling your best, high energy. That’s like the youngest you’re ever going to be, right? You should be feeling amazing in your 20s. If you were in your 30s, you are setting up your habits and your lifestyle for the rest of your life. You are either going to be building muscle and setting yourself up for a strong, healthy body, lean body that you really feel good in in your 30s, 40s, 50s, or you’re setting yourself up to have the opposite. There really isn’t any in between. Either you have good habits being established or not. In your 40s, it’s like the time was 10 to 20 years ago, quite frankly. It is going to be a little harder. So the day to take action is today. Today is the easiest it’s ever going to be. If it already feels hard, it’s only going to get harder and I want to encourage you that we help women in their 40s every single day, lose weight and get in the best shape of their life. You just have to be realistic with yourself about where you’re at and that the time to take action was yesterday, so the next best time is right now. But they make the mistake of trying to go it by themselves and they only increase the time that they’re going to stay stuck because often what happens is one or 2 things when you try to do this alone. Number one, you choose extreme method because you’re impatient. So you’re doing keto, you’re doing cleanses, you’re cutting out, eating out completely. Like you’re going to an extreme because you’re like, wow, I want to see results quickly. Like, I’m glad you’re motivated, but an extreme method isn’t going to get you. You’re the person who has to start over every single weekend. You’re the person who messes up after cheat day or gives yourself all these cheat days and you just struggle to be consistent, to be adherent. Give yourself an actual chance to make these habits, and this is not gonna happen in a few months. You can, don’t get me wrong. So you can look and be like, wow, you can make amazing changes in 3 months. Absolutely. You can see like dropping pants sizes. scale go down. But what I’m talking about is like what really needs to change for this to be lasting is the way you move, the way you operate, the way your brain looks at your body and relationship with food, your relationship with your body image and your relationship with food are very interconnected. And if you have struggled with this for years, you’re probably not going to get to the perfect spot that you need to be. In a few months, it’s gonna take a little bit longer than that. So your goal is not to be like, how can I just lose this weight as quick as possible? Although, yes, we want you to lose weight in the 1st few months, and you will, if you do the right things. But we want you to be like, how can I lock in and understand that I’m changing the way I live? I’m changing the way I eat, I’m changing my nutrition. I’m changing my training. I’m changing the way I operate and my relationship with my body and with food. So that once I achieve my dream body, I know how to maintain it. Because my question for you is, if you woke up in your dream body tomorrow, you had dropped £30 of body fat, let’s say. You have put on 5 to £10 of lean muscle. You look amazing. You have that tone body you’ve been after. You feel like you couldn’t have had at this point in your life. You wake up in that body. You’re feeling great. Would you have the mindset, the skill set, the discipline, in order to maintain it? And the answer is no. The answer is no. If you are not there now, the answer is no. If you had those things you would be there. So even if you can crash diet your way to weight loss, you don’t know how to maintain it. You don’t have the skill set. So it is so important that you embrace the journey that locked in, getting locked in is the goal and getting locked in for the next 10, 20, 30 years is the goal.
