This is Chelsey with the Slay Squad fitness and nutrition coaching and Phoenix Personal Training. And today I wanted to talk about some of our amazing weight loss clients who have just done incredible in the program to hopefully give you a lot of inspiration and motivation as to what is possible for you, because something I often hear from women who I have consult calls with, or who are thinking about joining the community, they often feel that their situation is just too unique, that their struggles are too difficult, that maybe they will be the person that is unable to be helped, that all these other transformations that they see, these women just have it easier. They just don’t have the same challenges. And they won’t be successful. And you can either have that approach or you can have the approach of telling yourself there are women that have it just as hard, maybe even more difficult than you that have done this and focusing on them. What did they do? What is their success story? You have that choice of how to view yourself. Either you decide you will be successful and you just need to find the right plan, method and support to get you there. Or you can have the mentality that your situation is just too hard and unique. I will be the 1st to admit that age, hormones, menopause, PCOS, crazy work schedules, all these things, of course, affect the journey and can make weight loss more difficult. But we have helped women who have had all those situations I just listed achieve incredible results. One of the clients that I want to highlight for you today is our client named Amanda. Amanda is a client I recently interviewed. And she shared more of her challenges on her journey with me. She was a client who had previously felt like she had tried lots of things. She had tried the diets. She did extreme methods. She felt like she had done it all, and so these things wouldn’t work for her. She felt the same as you may be feeling right now. She had a call with us, and she just decided that she wasn’t willing to accept feeling like crap in her skin. She was going through perimenopause. She’s a caregiver to a child with various mental health challenges. She’s also a caregiver to her father after her mother passed away. She works full time. She had severe diastasis recti, which is ab separation, after having children that she thought was going to need surgery, and she had gained quite a bit of weight. She was struggling with some hormonal issues. She just felt really lethargic. Her body hurt every day. She felt like she had a very poor body image, and she just felt lost and hopeless. She kept trying things and just was left further and further away from where she wanted to be, but she decided she wasn’t done. She wasn’t going to accept that for her life, and you get to decide that too. You get to decide if your challenges are just going to define your story or if you’re going to keep trying new things, keep trying, find the right things, getting some support, until you find that success. She joined the squad. She has lost I believe it’s near £30 or just over £30, completely healed her diastasis recti, which is absolutely incredible because she was actually, being seen for surgery. She was getting the surgical consults because she thought hers was so severe. She had pain, she had coning on her stomach, that had been there for years, and she thought that that’s the next step was surgery. Some women require surgery to correct that. But we were able to correct that through proper core restoration exercises, breathing exercises, and really taking the time to slow down and focus on that healthy core pelvic floor foundation. It took time; it didn’t happen overnight. This took months and months to really restore, and I believe, a full year before she felt like it was completely healed. But regardless, she had a very large gap. It is now closed. She’s losing weight. She’s seen progress weekly. She has more energy. And she’s been able to set boundaries, which to her was a huge win, because she struggled with saying yes to everyone, which really ended up meaning saying no to herself and her health, which is what got her in the situation she was in. And now she’s been with us over a year, which is absolutely incredible. If you are able to commit to more than a couple months with a coach, if you could do 6 months, a year, that is when you will not just transform your body, but how you think, how you move, how you live. Amanda also had some health issues and heart problems where her heart would race. She would wake up in the middle of the night with her heart racing and she was seeing a cardiologist. And once she lost weight and got healthy, she stopped dealing with her cardiac problems. So when I say this changed her life, it’s changed her life in so many ways. And again, she did this all while working out from home, while caring for her son, and while caring for her father, and working full time. I hear, and I’m so impressed, just so in awe of her, so impressed with what she’s been able to do. After I got off the interview with her, I was just inspired myself. I promise if you go listen to that interview, you will be like, okay, she was going through menopause. She had every challenge in the book. And she still was able to do this.

Amanda is just one example of an amazing woman who had quite a few challenges and was able to overcome this. I want to tell you about another one of our audience, named Andrea, who is absolutely incredible. She was one who had faced some various health problems herself. And it led to her having some struggles with body image and gaining over £100. She looked up one day, and she didn’t recognize herself anymore. And she was just shocked at how far gone she really was. She said that she carried the weight well in a sense, so she saw herself every day in the mirror, and she knew she had gained weight, but she did not have any idea how much. It just crept up on her. It was in a short amount of time too. I believe, just over a year, she had gained over 100 pounds. And she ended up finally stepping on the scale and just being so shocked at the number. So she was just unable to accept that for herself again. The common theme you’ll hear with our successful clients is that they are not willing to accept less than a great body, less than thriving, less than feeling healthy day to day for themselves, and you shouldn’t be willing to accept that for yourself either. It starts with being unwilling to accept that. So, she started with extremes. She started dieting, she lost weight quickly. She also had children in the midst of this weight loss journey, so she definitely had times where she had little setbacks, but she would always hop right back in. So the setbacks would, throw her back for a little bit, but she just kept going and going till she lost over 100 pounds. Incredible. However, she was not doing this through not the healthiest methods. That’s what she told us, that she was just kind of eating less and less and less, going a little bit too extreme which led to losing the weight quick. But ultimately, it did result in her feeling very stuck where she had lost £100, but she still had 20 to 30 more that she wanted to lose, and she couldn’t. She couldn’t bring her calories any lower. She hit a plateau, she kept trying to break through this plateau, and she just couldn’t. So that’s when she ended up hiring us. He hired us to help her get over that plateau. She joined the Slay squad. She ended up losing the rest of the weight she wanted to lose after being stuck for months and months in that plateau and being amazed. She stated “I’m trying everything, nothing was working to get me over this hump. I joined the squad and saw immediate changes.” Every single week she saw changes in her body. After going through the fat loss phase with us, she is now in a muscle building phase where we are actually helping her eat more food, get a little bit of that muscle definition, which yields more of a toned look with time. And she told us she had never in her life thought that she would be in a situation where she was working on building and eating more, and it has just healed her relationship with food. Healed her relationship with health in her body, and she’s amazed with how she looks. If I were to show you photos of this girl, she’s unrecognizable from where she started to where she is now. She is one hot mama, and she did not have a little bit of weight to lose you guys. She had a massive journey ahead of her. She would not accept that for herself. She did not give up.
