There are only a few tasks that you actually need to focus on and really lean into in order to lose the weight. The process is not as hard as you may think. Um, I would say it’s not easy to actually implement and make these habit changes, but it is simple. And the reason it may not feel super easy is the part that is difficult is changing your habits, changing the way you’ve been brought up to operate, believe, you have patterns and ways of doing things. So we help you with the actual execution, the habit change, and then holding you accountable to the few things that you need to be doing in order to hit your weight loss goals. One of the 1st things that you’re going to need to do in order to lose weight is get on top of your nutrition. That is arguably the most important thing that you need to do. It doesn’t matter how hard you work in the gym. It doesn’t matter how much cardio you do. If you have not taken inventory of how much food you consume, and how much your body actually needs to lose weight. So with our nutrition coaching and virtual Phoenix personal training, we’re able to help you with this. One of the 1st things we want to look at is what does your current diet look like and where can we make some swaps and change it? The average American eats 3500 calories a day, which is a lot. It’s way more than what we need, overprocessed food, and convenience makes over consumption extremely easy, and many people struggle with emotional eating and stress eating as well. Mostly people just have no idea how much they’re truly eating. If you would ask most people, how many calories they think they’re eating. They generally would not believe that they’re eating that 3500 calories. So one of the best things to do is to start keeping a food log where you learn portion control. You learn how to track your food. You learn about macro nutrients, which is protein carbs and fats and how much you’re currently consuming. You can’t change what you won’t acknowledge. So we 1st need to take a look at that and see where your calories and protein are falling. Then from there, our nutritionists are going to take a look at what your body needs in order to maintain its weight and where we need to set you based on your activity level, your body size, your age, what you do for work, how hard you’re training, so many different factors, but where do we need to set your calories in order to put you into that calorie deficit. We give you those numbers, your calorie goal, and your protein goal, and then we help teach you how to accurately track and log your food in a way that’s going to help you stay consistent. Now, we do not teach that any foods are off limits. In fact, we believe in moderation and balance. And it’s really important that you enjoy this process to some extent. If you cut out every food that you love. If you are not allowed to eat out, if you’re not allowed to eat carbs, your chance of sustaining this process is going to be low. You likely will not. And that’s a problem. Sustaining the change is just as important as being able to make the change. If you can lose weight, but you gain it all back the 2nd you’re done. That’s a problem. That’s something that we really want to look at and help you to overcome. So we help a lot with focusing primarily on nutrition first. Nutrition is where you’re going to get the most bang for your buck. And like I mentioned earlier, if you do not know how many calories you’re eating, if you’re unwilling to keep a food dog, if you’re unwilling to adhere to that deficit, you will never lose weight. It doesn’t matter what you do in the gym. It doesn’t matter how great your program is. It will not matter. Nutrition is number one. We have to look at that 1st and foremost. I often tell my clients, if you have only 4 hours a week to give to this journey to your weight loss and fitness journey. I want you to 1st put the 1st one to 2 towards nutrition, even if that means sacrificing time working out, sacrificing time at the gym. This is where your time needs to go, okay? It’s super important. If you don’t get this, the rest is pointless. You might as well not even go to the gym because you’re never gonna lose the weight if you won’t take inventory of your calories. And it’s so frustrating to feel like you’re putting in the work at the gym. You’re putting in the work at your home workouts, whatever it may be, but nothing is changing physically in your body. So we’re here to help with that. And with the sleigh squad, we do the virtual nutrition coaching and Phoenix personal training. And let’s talk about the gym aspect of this a little bit. And that is obviously that we believe in working out. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter. It actually matters a lot. You want to have muscle on your body. It’s gonna help scope your body. It’s gonna help boost your baseline metabolism. It’s going to make you less injury prone as you age, you’re going to also have a shape that you like. Without weight training. I like to explain to people that as you lose the weight, you’re gonna lose, um, fat, but you could also lose muscle. If you’re not eating adequate protein and weight training, and the goal is always, always to preserve muscle mass at all costs because in your 30s, 40s, 50s beyond, if you are not actively working hard to keep and build that muscle mass, you are losing it. And we don’t want to lose it, that is what’s going to help keep your metabolism active. And like I said, injury and even disease prevention, regulating blood sugar, hormones, there are so many reasons why women need to be in the gym weight training. So with Phoenix personal training, we help you to do this. Now, the really cool thing about what we do is that you can build muscle from anywhere. We work with clients all over the world. You can work out anytime, even 3 or 4 lifts a week is adequate to build muscle and change your body composition if you are consistent. These workouts also don’t need to be hours long. 30, 45 minutes is going to change your body, especially if you are new to weight training. If I can just get you to be consistent with that. So again, the things that we’re looking at to help you lose weight and transform your body, number one, most importantly, nutrition, number two, following a weight treatment plan. That way, we make sure that as you lose the weight, it is actually bad that’s coming off, not your hard earned muscle, and so that when you do lose the weight, you have the shape that you want. You’re not just a smaller version of the current shape that you are now. You’re actually more sculpted, more toned, maybe flat stomach, bigger glutes, that type of thing. That is going to happen from the work that you put in with the weights. And again, this can be done at home. This can be done at the gym. We have clients, even that start out with body weight workouts that see incredible results, again, because they are pairing it with the correct nutrition. Another thing that you need to implement in order to be successful on this journey is help with your mindset. If you give up too easily. If you have the all or nothing mentality. If you believe that it’s going to be just too hard because you’re 30 or 40 or 50, well that will be your reality. This is drinking 100 ounces or more of water. This is getting out in the sunshine if you can to get a little bit of vitamin D. This is putting positive things into your mind. These habits sound simple, but they are going to change your life, they’re going to change your relationship with your mind and your body, and that is ultimately what’s going to get you to your goal.
